Leavin'
♫ On a Jet Plane! ♫
It hasn't been easy and things have really come down to the wire, but I think I'm pretty much ready to take off tomorrow for the Big Apple and the big big New York Chocolate Show. Got my stuff all packed up and my lists of places I want to see all put together and all my maps mapped and my house-sitter all ready to sit my house and.... I think I'm really pretty much ready. Got a couple of things to take care of in the morning and then I hare off to the airport and take off. I'm a little disappointed that I'll only get one day at the chocolate show, but you can't have everything and I plan on making up for it in inventive ways.
A large chunk of the trip is taken up by the training class, but there is a lot of time around the class that I can make use of and I have plans on hitting around ten different chocolatiers as well as some other interesting places over the course of the week. My camera is kind of on it's last legs right now, but I'm going to try and coax it into taking some pictures along the way. It should be a good time.
Now I plan to get a good night's sleep, rise nice and early, and get myself to New York.

Now, I've been reading you talk about the chocolate show for a while. Friday someone asked me "Hey ,want to go to the chocolate show Sunday?" my response was "There's a chocolate show? sure, that sounds cool" Totally oblivious. haha.
Have fun, I don't know many of the names on the list, but Chocolate Bar is awesome, specifically the salty pretzel. I'm pretty sure you can't get them online or anywhere else too.
Max Brenner is cool NYC chocolate too, but it seems they won't be at the chocolate show.

yup. I definitely recommend Max Brenner if you get the chance. 14th street and 3rd avenue, or 10street and 2nd avenue. I'm sure you have a whole list of stuff you're already planning to do, but I can't help suggest chocolate places when I hear someone's coming to New York. I assume you know about the Chocolate tours too?
